Application:

STY 550 can be applied by screed machine. It is fundamental to wet the substrate in particular during summer season and in case of surface exposed to sun. During summer season, apply the product in the cooler hours of the day, away from sun. Do not apply with imminent threat of rain or ice, in conditions of strong fog or with relative humidity higher than 70%. STY 550 should be applied in an equal amount to the entire floor. The minimum thickness should be 4 cm. Once the area has been filled, use a straightedge tool to run a left to right, right to left and continue in that motion to remove any excess and to achieve a flat even finish. Also it's recommended that a dilatation gap should be done in every 30 m2. Be sure that STY 550 is completely dried before final coatings applications. All works carried out outside must be performed in rainless weather, when insolation is not too high and wind is weak. If it is necessary to carry out works in unfavourable conditions, use appropriate shields, reducing an impact of weather factors.
